2018 First Half Year Energy Development Situation Analysis

Yesterday, the National Energy Administration held a press conference on the energy situation in the first half of this year, the operation of renewable energy grids, and the 12398 energy supervision hotline complaints and complaints in the second quarter. At the same time, it will also interpret the “Electric Safety Production Action Plan (2018- 2020) and answer questions from reporters.

According to Director Li Fulong, the green low-carbon development in the first half of the year was further advanced and the power generation structure was further optimized.

Among them, in the first half of the year, the newly added installed capacity of nuclear power, wind power and solar power accounted for 66.1% of the total installed capacity, an increase of 5.4 percentage points over the same period of last year; the total output of nuclear power, wind power and solar power increased by 19. 0%, higher than the growth rate of thermal power generation by 11.0%.

Clean energy consumption has achieved remarkable results. In the first half of the year, the middle reaches of the Jinsha River were sent to Guangxi, Zalut to Qingzhou, and 12 transmission channels for “air pollution prevention and control” were completed. The Zhangbei base sent electricity to Beijing and Wudongde to send electricity to the two transmission channels. Cross-regional and inter-provincial power generation increased by 19.4% and 20.3% respectively, up 11.1% and 13.4% respectively over the same period of last year. The national abandonment rate and the abandonment rate decreased by 5.0 and 3.2 percentage points respectively over the same period of last year.

Clean and warm in the north is implemented steadily. The annual work plan and implementation plan are clearly defined throughout the country. In accordance with the principle of reforming the gas, the “coal to gas” should be steadily promoted according to local conditions. Zhangjiakou and Inner Mongolia wind power heating projects accelerated. The construction of 136 biomass heat and power cogeneration clean heating demonstration projects in “100 towns” has been started, with an installed capacity of 3.8 million kilowatts.

New progress has been made in energy conservation and consumption reduction in the power industry. In the first half of the year, the power industry continued to phase out coal-fired units of less than 300,000 kilowatts that were not environmentally friendly, energy consumption, safety, etc., and the installed structure continued to be optimized. The energy-saving technological transformation was vigorously promoted, and the coal consumption of power supply decreased by 1.3g/kWh compared with the same period of last year.
